So after my attempt at participating in Dungeon 23 uhh… fizzled out, I decided to try something different next year. User u/Working-Bike-1010 posted an interesting idea to the Dungeon23 subreddit. I’ve linked their post here.

The idea is to generate a random sandbox and explore it in Solo Play using 1:1 time. That means 1 day in the real world equals 1 day in the game world.

I bought Sandbox Generator by Atelier Clandestin and plan to use it to generate the wilderness as i go.

The idea is, instead of generating a whole region at once, i will just generate those hexes the party enters.

I almost certainly will use OSE Advanced, to give me more options for characters. A campaign like this will probably see a lot of dead PCs, so this is a perfect opportunity to try out all these additional classes. I’ll also use some additional rules from the Carcass Crawler magazine, at least those for hiring retainers.

The Town

The town Dusty Vanau is located at the edge of the wilderness, at the borders of the great empire.

Size: Small, about a hundred inhabitants.

Occupations: Farming, cattle breeding

Locations:
